The wool sauna hat is the Finnish answer to a hot head. Soaked in cool water and worn on the bench, the felt cools by slow evaporation, keeping your head and hair comfortable so you can settle into the heat for longer. This one is plain red with no embroidery, felted from 100% hypoallergenic sheep's wool. One size at roughly 27 × 30 cm; hand wash gently and air dry.

Using a sauna hat
Soak the hat in cool water before you settle onto the bench and wear it throughout your session, re-soaking between rounds. As the water evaporates it draws heat away, keeping your head and hair noticeably cooler so you can stay in the heat comfortably for longer. Keeping the head cool has also been suggested to help protect the hair, particularly for frequent sauna bathers.
Care
Felt sauna hats are not suitable for machine washing or tumble drying. Gently hand wash in warm water without detergent, then air dry.
