Our Traditional Finnish Sauna Bundle brings the essentials of classic sauna culture together in one set. At its heart are Rento's 5 litre colour-anodised aluminium sauna bucket in black and the matching anodised ladle, both finished with heat-treated bamboo handles. Two cream wool felt sauna hats keep heads cool on the bench, four Emendo sauna scents (eucalyptus, birch, smoke sauna and tar) fragrance the steam, and a hand-tied birch and nettle whisk (vihta) completes the ritual.

Using the bundle
Use the ladle to pour water from the bucket over the hot sauna stones. Shake the scent bottles well and mix three to six drops into a ladle of water for a pleasant aroma. Soak the felt hats in cool water before you settle onto the bench and re-soak them between rounds, as the evaporating water keeps your head noticeably cooler. Soak the whisk in cold water for 30 minutes, then in warm water for a further five, and begin whisking gently once your skin has warmed through. Empty the bucket and ladle after use and keep them, and the scents, out of the hot sauna between sessions, cleaning with mild, soapy water when needed.
