Well taken care of, the ladles will keep in excellent condition a long time. Make sure to empty them after use and do not leave them in a hot, humid sauna. Clean the surfaces if necessary with mild, soapy water, using a soft sponge or brush.

x2 Traditional White Cream Sauna Hat (Wool)

The felt sauna hat is the traditional way of cooling the head and the hair during sauna bathing. The sauna hat is first soaked in water and then worn during the sauna. The water evaporates cooling your head and allowing cool water to refresh you whilst you sauna.

The benefits of the sauna hat are allowing keep cooler for longer and enjoy the greater health benefits of a longer sauna session. Keeping your head cool has also been suggested to reduce hair loss, particularly for very regular sauna goers.

Washing Instructions

The natural felt sauna hats are not suitable for machine washing/tumble drying. They should only ever be gently hand washed with warm water, without detergents, and then air dried.

Emendo Sauna Scents (4 x 10ml)

The Emendo Sauna Scent collection infuses your sauna with classic fragrances of eucalyptus, birch, smoke sauna, and tar. To enjoy, simply mix 3–6 drops of the concentrated scent into a ladle of water and pour it over the hot sauna stones.

As the water hits the stones, it releases a soothing steam that carries the aroma throughout your sauna, creating a relaxing and invigorating atmosphere.

Instructions:

• Shake well before use.
• Rinse the ladle after use.
• Avoid leaving the bottles inside a hot sauna.

Dried Hand Made Sauna Whisk / Sauna Vihta - Birch & Nettle

This birch and nettle sauna whisk is made for those who would like to try something a bit different in the sauna. Nettle naturally irritates the skin and helps to improve blood circulation.

Sauna whisks are made during the summertime, usually till the Midsummer. In this period tree leaves are rich with essential oils and aromas. Our sauna whisks are 100% hand-made. After the tree twigs are cut, they are tied on using thin pieces of natural linen string and dried in a well-ventilated barn. 

Using a sauna whisk is an ancient hygiene tradition and is highly regarded throughout Finland. Using the vihta is particularly noted for creating an incomparable clean feeling, especially when sauna bathing and whisking is combined with a cold plunge. Using a vihta that is regularly dipped into cold water will provide cool, refreshing relief and a vihta can be used once or twice after which it should be disposed of or composted.

Some Finn's like to soften the re-hydrated leaves on the hot sauna stones, then soak it again in cold water. Caution should be taken with this approach to avoid burning or scalding, as well as dried leaves reaching the firebox or heating elements.

Directions for use: Soak the whisks before going to the sauna. Remove the packaging. Immerse it first in cold water for 30 minutes. Carefully let the whisk sit in warm (not hot) water for another 5 minutes. Put fresh water in the sauna bucket for the whisk. The warm water that has been infused with its branches works well for sauna steam and gives the sauna a pleasant scent. You can start to use the whisk when your skin has warmed up nicely – gently whisk yourself or your fellow sauna goers. After the sauna, lightly rinse the whisk and let it hang in a cool, dry place. You can reuse it following the same instructions.
