Description
The SAAS Highline dim R is a dimmable ballast for high-powered LEDs, made by Finnish lighting manufacturer SAAS Instruments. It drives one to eight LEDs at 350 mA on a 230 V supply, giving you fine control over the light level in your sauna. Dimming works in three ways: a 1–10 V control signal, a push button or a potentiometer. The dim R is compatible with the SAAS spot+, sauna+, sauna ID and posh sauna glow lights, but it is not suitable for LED bands.

Compatibility
Compatible products: SAAS spot+, SAAS sauna+, SAAS sauna ID, SAAS posh sauna glow. The ballast is not suitable for LED bands.
Using the dim R
1–10 V control: the ballast accepts an external control signal; with a signal below 1 V, the light goes out. Potentiometer: use a 100 K ohm potentiometer; a logarithmic potentiometer is recommended for a more flexible adjustment range. Push button: pressing for less than a second switches the lights on; pressing for more than a second dims them, and at the next press the lights brighten.
