Description
The Löyly-IKI is the largest wood-burning stove in the IKI range, built for sauna enthusiasts who demand the highest standards and for rooms of 20–40 m³. Its 400 kg stone capacity stores so much heat that the sauna stays warm even if the fire dies down, while the contact area of about 1 m² between furnace and stones, fed by a heavy-duty spiral fire pipe that glows red in use, brings the room to temperature in roughly an hour. The model was updated in 2025 and now includes a stove base as standard and a wooden door handle, with revised flue connection heights shown in the installation manual. Like all IKI wood-burning stoves it is made to order in Finland and cannot be cancelled or returned once confirmed. Sauna stones and flue packages are sold separately, as are IKI Plus parts such as the stainless steel stove mesh and smoke connection pipes.

Installation
The chimney connection is made at the rear with the 90-degree smoke pipe, or upwards using the separately sold Plus parts; the smoke pipe has an outer diameter of 115 mm and its centre sits 150 mm from the rear rim. IKI recommends connection to a brick, ceramic or air-cooled chimney, with each firebox served by its own flue. The 2025 model stands on the supplied stove base and its flue connection heights have changed accordingly; the connection heights and safety clearances are given in the installation manual in the Downloads tab, which must be followed together with local building regulations.
Sauna stones
Sauna stones are not included and must be purchased separately. IKI recommends peridotite, olivine or olivine-dolerite stones under 100 mm in diameter, laid loosely one at a time so the stones cover the furnace while air can still flow between them; in professional use Kerkes ceramic stones are recommended on the surfaces that touch the heart of the stove. The condition of the stones should be checked yearly and broken stones replaced.

IKI Kiuas is a Finnish specialist in open, large-stone-mass sauna heaters, hand-crafted in Pieksämäki by welders with decades of experience in stainless steel and black iron. Each heater is welded by hand and may show small tooling marks on the stainless steel rim.
