Description
The HUUM chimney set for rear-connection installations takes the flue from the back of a HUUM wood burning sauna heater, through the wall and then up the outside. Because the flue exits at the rear rather than the top, the set uses a short, cuttable single-wall adapter (150–250 mm) in place of the taller single-wall run in our standard through the wall set, which makes it a tidy choice for more compact rooms; on the heater itself, the top spigot simply swaps with the rear blanking plate to move the outlet. The 115 mm diameter set is compatible with all HUUM wood burning heaters and is available in stainless steel or black. The heater and sauna stones are sold separately, and HUUM requires the stove and flue to be installed by a chimney specialist.

Connecting the stove to the chimney
The sauna stove must be connected to the chimney by a specialist. In this configuration the flue is connected at the rear of the stove: the top spigot used for a vertical connection is interchangeable with the blanking plate on the rear, allowing the flue outlet to be moved from the top to the back of the heater.
When the rear connection is made with the HIVE Flow and HIVE Wood heaters, a section of the stone cage needs to be cut to make room for the connection.
The stove is connected to the chimney with special flue pipes, which may be caulked with heat-resistant sealing rope where necessary. Curves in the connection elbows must be smooth to minimise draught loss, and the pipe is inserted through the wall of the chimney and sealed with mineral wool. The flue gases must be directed into a separate flue; it is forbidden to use a common flue shared with other furnaces.
As specified by HUUM, forced extract ventilation might cause problems with the air exchange of the room and the sufficiency of combustion air for the furnace; designing and constructing such ventilation systems is permitted only on the sole responsibility of a licensed specialist.

Connecting the stove to the chimney
