Description
The Helo WE 50 is the contactor box for high-output Helo installations, allowing a Pure or Elite Free control panel to switch the commercial SKLA and Magma heaters of 18–26 kW on a 400–415 V 3N~ supply; the manufacturer’s manual also covers its use with SKLE and Laava heaters of 9–15 kW (230 V 3~ or 400–415 V 3N~) and Octa heaters of 9–15 kW. It provides the safe, reliable connection between control panel and heater and is designed to be installed outside the sauna room, where the lower temperature protects the electronics. For a twin-heater sauna, the separate WE 51 secondary contactor box runs the second Magma or SKLA heater from the same panel. The control panel and heater are sold separately: the WE 50 will not operate without a Helo Pure or Elite Free panel connected.

Installation
Installation and maintenance must be carried out by a certified electrician, with the electricity supply isolated before any work begins. The contactor box is installed outside the sauna room using fixed cabling, with a connection box inside the sauna and a semi-fixed connection to the heater; a heat-resisting connection box and heat-resisting cables are required in the zones the manual specifies, and the manual’s cable and fuse tables give the sizing for each heater model and supply. All Helo D-body electric heaters paired with the WE 50 must be installed on a three-phase power supply. The installation and user manual and local wiring regulations must be followed.
