Description
This dark thermo alder KA moulding is a versatile trim for the interior of your sauna. It resembles a cladding board without the tongue and groove, with rounded front edges that give it a tidy appearance; use it to join lengths of cladding or to create design features in matching or contrasting timber. Each moulding measures 14 × 60 mm by 2400 mm and is supplied in packs of five. Intense thermal modification gives the alder a striking dark chocolate brown colour and a strong, toasted scent.

Timber
Dark thermo alder has a striking dark chocolate brown colour, making it a strong choice where a contemporary look is desired. Its intense, natural thermal modification makes it a premium timber with a strong, toasted scent. Elegant and easy to keep clean, it creates beautiful results in a sauna.
Profile
The KA moulding appears very similar to a cladding board, but without the tongue and groove. Its rounded front edges give it a tidy appearance across a variety of applications: it can join lengths of cladding on the sauna walls, and it works in a matching wood type or a contrasting one to create a design feature.
Quality & Wastage
This dark thermo alder is A-grade quality: durable, knot-free and with a low risk of splintering. As a natural product, timber shows some colour variation between packs and batches. We recommend a wastage allowance of 20–25% for this corner moulding, which also accounts for any damage that can occur in transit. Contact us if you are unsure how much your build requires.
Ordering & Delivery
Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service, with costs calculated at checkout and varying between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes; deliveries may be kerbside and can require handballing off the vehicle. We ship lengths of up to 2400 mm as standard. If you need a shorter length than we hold in stock, our cutting service can cut a full-length board down for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. For advice on sizes, quantities or delivery, contact support@finnmarksauna.com or call +44 (0)20 8050 2895.
Brand
Made by Thermory of Estonia, founded in 1997 and the largest manufacturer of thermally modified wood in the world. Alongside its fully natural, chemical-free thermally modified boards, Thermory produces a wide range of untreated sauna timber.
