Wyld Sauna – UK’s First Public Floating Sauna
We are thrilled to share that Finnmark has been a key partner in the creation of Wyld Sauna, the UK's first public floating sauna. This landmark project officially opened its doors on November 23rd at Liverpool’s Princes Dock. Our team of experts at Finnmark designed, fabricated, and consulted on every aspect of the sauna’s interior, ensuring a premium, authentic Nordic experience that rivals the quality of the home saunas we install across the country.

Founded by Jon Miller and his friend Tom Berendsen, Wyld Sauna has quickly become a standout destination for wellness enthusiasts. The project has gained significant national attention in the media, including high-profile coverage by The Times, which highlighted its innovative approach to community engagement and urban relaxation. Spearheaded by passionate sauna and outdoor swimming enthusiasts, the project aims to expand its footprint nationwide, bringing the cherished Nordic sauna tradition to various harbours, lakes, and waterfront locations across the UK.

This groundbreaking facility features a massive 30-person Finnish sauna, accompanied by ice baths, heated outdoor showers, and direct water access for a traditional cold plunge experience. This combination offers a revitalising wellness circuit right on the waterfront. For those who want to extend their stay, visitors can also unwind with a selection of drinks and snacks in the accompanying floating café.
