Description
This Thermo Aspen VÄ moulding is a finishing trim for sauna interiors with a 28 × 42 mm profile; the material is approximately 7 mm thick on the longer side and 10 mm on the shorter side. It is supplied as a pack of four, in your choice of 2100 mm or 2400 mm lengths. Thermo aspen is made by heat-treating the timber, a natural process that lowers its moisture content and leaves the wood tough, rot resistant and free of resin even at sauna temperatures. The grain is straight and knot free, with a warm honey-brown colour and a pleasant toasted scent; if you are unsure how much you need, our team is happy to advise on sizes and quantities.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating soft timber. The treatment reduces the moisture level of the wood, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that does not secrete resin in the high temperatures and moisture-rich environment of a sauna. The grain is straight and knot free, with a honey-brown colouration and a pleasant, toasted scent, making it an easy timber to keep looking its best.
Quality & Wastage
Our thermo aspen timber is A-grade: durable, knot free and at low risk of splintering. We recommend a wastage allowance of 15% for thermo aspen mouldings, which also covers any risk of damage in transit. Expect some natural variation in colour from length to length.
